Tottenham announced the return of the Bill Nicholson Gate this summer. The forged black gold gate, which became a symbol of the former London club manager after the famous photo taken by Peter Robinson in the 1970s, has been stored in a warehouse since 2015, dismantled ahead of the construction of a new stadium. Previously, it paved the way for White Hart Lane. Preparatory work has now begun with the aim of installing the gate in time for the first home game of the new English Premier League season against Bernley on August 16.
